I’m really happy to be able to announce my latest book deal with my long time publishing partner Wiley & Sons. I will be working with them to produce my first title in the hugely popular “For Dummies” series. The book is “Social Media Optimization for Dummies,” and will be released in the Spring of 2015.
Contracts are signed, the table of contents done, and I’m now putting my head down and starting to produce the chapters. This is an exciting project for me. I’ve long been a fan of the “For Dummies” series and what they do — that is, making tech concepts accessible to everyone — plays to my strengths as a writer and presenter.
One of the cool aspects of the “For Dummies” series is the existence of an online resource for the readers. The series has a dedicated website (on an absolutely brilliant domain name — Dummies.com). The site has a ton of resources, including not only excerpts, but also cheat sheets, e-learning tools, tests and more. It’s a great way for a traditional media publisher to cross the digital divide and better serve the readership. Check out Dummies.com if you have not already, it is quite useful.
I’ll post more here as I progress on the book and hopefully they will let me provide some sneak peeks as we go along.
